Forest City Healing Centre

At The Brotherhood Project, every donation starts with people who believe in what we’re trying to do. Our $4,000 donation to Forest City Healing Centre is a meaningful example of what can happen when a community comes together with a shared purpose.

This donation couldn’t have happened without the generosity of the Wroxeter Rippers and everyone who supported the 5th annual “The Day at the Ball Park” charity baseball tournament in memory of Braydon Berberich. The tournament contributed $3,000, with another $1,000 raised through our hat sales.

Behind that total are the organizers, volunteers, players, sponsors, and supporters who showed up and made it possible. Whether you stepped onto the field, purchased a hat, donated, or helped bring the event to life, you played a part in supporting an important cause.

Honouring Braydon’s memory through a day of baseball, connection, and giving back makes this contribution especially meaningful. We’re grateful to the Wroxeter Rippers for welcoming The Brotherhood Project into that effort and helping turn community support into something that reaches beyond the ballpark.

Supporting Forest City Healing Centre

Based in London, Ontario, Forest City Healing Centre was created to support people navigating addiction and recovery. Its vision is a community where people can access the care, connection, and compassion they need to heal. The centre’s approach brings together recovery support, evidence-informed care, wellness, education, and community connection. (ca.linkedin.com)

Its men’s residential recovery model focuses on providing structure, stability, and a supportive environment for people ready to begin their recovery journey. The goal is to help individuals develop practical routines, build connections, and establish a foundation for lasting recovery. Following a pause in operations, the centre has been working toward reopening its residential program with the help of community support and partnerships. (ca.linkedin.com, fchc.ca)

For us, supporting that work is closely connected to why The Brotherhood Project began. We believe conversations about mental health matter, and so does supporting places where people can take the next step toward getting help. Donations like this allow us to put that belief into action.

Thank You for Making It Possible

To the Wroxeter Rippers and everyone behind “The Day at the Ball Park”: thank you for your generosity, your hard work, and your commitment to honouring Braydon through helping others.

To everyone who purchased a hat or supported the tournament: this donation belongs to you, too. You helped turn a day at the ballpark into support for recovery in our community.

We’re proud to have been part of it, and grateful for the opportunity to give back together.
