The Brotherhood Project Proudly Raises Over $10,000 for Project Trauma Support and a Fallen Fire Captain’s Family

One of the core reasons I started The Brotherhood Project was to create something bigger than a clothing brand. I wanted to create a community that encourages conversations about mental health, supports those who are struggling, and gives back to organizations making a real difference.

Today, I am incredibly proud to share that, through the support of our community, sponsors, donors, volunteers, and participants, The Brotherhood Project raised over $10,000, with proceeds being donated to Project Trauma Support and to the family of the fire captain whose struggles with mental health inspired me to start this journey.

The Brotherhood Project was born following the loss of a fire captain who had a profound impact on my life and career. Like many first responders, he faced challenges that often go unseen by those around us. His passing reinforced the importance of breaking the stigma surrounding mental health and ensuring that those who are struggling know they are never alone.

A portion of the funds raised were donated to Project Trauma Support, a Canadian organization dedicated to helping first responders, military personnel, veterans, healthcare workers, and other individuals affected by trauma and operational stress injuries. Through peer support, education, and specialized programs, Project Trauma Support provides a safe environment where participants can connect with others who understand their experiences and begin the healing process.

Their programs focus on building resilience, reducing isolation, and providing practical tools to help individuals navigate the impacts of trauma. For many participants, the support they receive becomes a turning point in their recovery journey, reminding them that there is hope and that help is available.

The remaining funds were donated to the family of the fire captain who inspired The Brotherhood Project’s mission. Supporting his family was a meaningful way to honour his legacy and recognize the lasting impact he continues to have on so many people.

This achievement would not have been possible without the incredible support of our community. Every person who purchased a hat, attended an event, donated, sponsored the golf tournament, volunteered their time, or shared our message played a role in making this happen.

Raising over $10,000 is an incredible milestone, but more importantly, it represents conversations started, awareness raised, and lives potentially impacted. It shows what can happen when a community comes together with a common purpose.

Thank you to everyone who has supported The Brotherhood Project. Together, we are helping break the stigma surrounding mental health and reminding people that no matter what they are facing, someone is always One Call Away.
